LOCKED is now Open for Business
History is Key at This Unique Escape Room
From Left to Right: Deputy Mayor Patrick D. Tighe, LOCKED Owners Donna Goeckel and Amanda Dubé, Councillor Dan Derouin celebrate the LOCKED Grand Opening with a Commermorative Print of Sturgeon County's Centennial Mural.
An exciting new business has opened in Sturgeon County! LOCKED is an innovative and unique space featuring four (soon to be five) escape rooms.
Amanda Dubé decided to open LOCKED after experiencing success with her other business, located next door to LOCKED. In 2018 Amanda opened Maristin's Market at the iconic Johnny's Store location in Namao, Sturgeon County. Maristins features the work of 70+ vendors - each offering something unique for sale.
Amanda has enjoyed visiting with her customers and learning about the history of the area from many residents (past and present!) that stop in to shop and share stories.
This connection has inspired Amanda and her business partners Donna Goeckel and Carl Rivest-Marier to open LOCKED, creating more fun things for people to do in the area and also celebrating the history of Sturgeon County. LOCKED features four theme rooms, with an additional room opening later in 2019. The four rooms are: 50's Kitchen, Love and War, Schoolhouse and Farmhouse.
Each room is strategically designed to challenge you, develop communication skills, enhance problem solving sills and affirm confidence as you work through challenging tasks. You will work with codes, puzzles, ISPYS, sequential sorting, seek and finds to get answers that lead you to unlocking your room! Amanda has worked with some of her vendors from Maristins to decorate each room beautifully to reflect specific time periods.
Hop in the car with your favourite people, unplug from technology and check out Maristins Market at Johnny's Store and LOCKED!
